Great storage site gold standard stored here 5 months now and would not store anywhere else another site opened a few miles away offers storage 20 cheaper but when i turned up to look at it was full of caravans rather pay the extra money than taking the risk . CCTV everywhere and access control systems at carahill great site my insurance company sheild also recomended it and gave me a discount
Turned up today yo ask about storing a caravan. The gentlemen who i dealt with st the main gate was very polite and explained about the site. Lovely person.
Very secure storage, access and lots of cctv. The full service and wash & wax on site meant we didn't have to go anywhere else once picking the van up. Friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend.
We visited this facility to check it out and noticed the very long single track road (1 mile?) which started alarm bells ringing in my head. When we got there no one was around so we ring the mobile number on the gate, no answer so we returned home, the gentleman rang us back later and informed they had spaces, when asking the cost he asked how long the caravan was and I said 16ft, he said that sounded a little short for a caravan which I found bemusing, he said the price was 220 GBP for the year , I asked if I could bring the caravan along at the weekend and he said no because they only work office hours, I suggested that I could bring the caravan along before they closed at 16:30 the following Friday, towing the caravan along the drive I couldn't help brushing the caravan on bushes on the way risking scratched windows and it occurred to me that there would be a significant issue if you ever met a caravan coming the other way. When I got there with the caravan he wasn't there but there was a foreign worker who spoke a little english who said he would help, I followed him and he asked me to fill out a rather protracted form to register, he then said the cost was 260 GBP and I asked why, he informed me that the caravan length was just over 21ft if you take the tow hitch length into consideration and over 21 ft is a different tariff, I informed that I was not happy with that cost and he informed that the owner was coming across, when the owner arrived he denied having any telephone conversation with me and suggested I'd got the wrong site. The owner gives the impression of a person who doesn't care about new customers so I can't imagine his attitude when he's took your money, in my humble opinion avoid.
Provided me with a great starter caravan Swift Aztec Azzura, well serviced and clean ready to go. Storage facility is secure and efficient.
