Linby Ave, Middlesbrough TS3 7NF, UK
Middlesbrough, North East England TS3 7NF

Only downside is waiting area is not closed and well lit. Not ideal for cold weather and at night

Functional, unstaffed modern station opened in 2014 with single platform and a few tubs of flowers to brighten things up a bit. Waiting shelter (not fully enclosed) but no other facilities. Quite a hike to the hospital on foot and poor access by car, although it would have been relatively easy to construct a dedicated single track road to at least allow for the provision of a bus shuttle service.

The parking is the only thing wrong with this hospital.

A modern basic railway station on the scenic Esk Valley Line. Steam trains pass through from time to time.

This is NOT the correct address. If you follow these directions you may miss your train. The sign posting is an absolute disgrace. There are no maps, and only one sign on Marton Road to a footpath that is a 5 minute walk to the platform. Not much use if you have luggage. Use TS3 7NF if you want to park up within walking distance.
