This is really a review of thw dentist Jodie who works at Osgodby. See Jodie! I am terrified of going to the dentist and had not been in years until today. Jodie was lovely. I explained that I was scared and she was really kind and patient with me. She looked at my bad tooth and explained my options and gave me time to consider. I opted for an extraxtion and she took the time to put on a numbing jelly before injecting me to make the injections less painful. I was breathing heavily and crying but she just kept talking to me and tried to keep me calm. She gave me ample time to mentally prepare myself for each step and was nothing but kind and patient the whole time. I have had horrible experiences at this surgery from other dentists and wouldn't have gone back if not being forced to by a family member but Jodie was so lovely that I am actually looking forward to going back for a follow up appointment! When someone hugs their dentist after they have ripped out a tooth, they must be a good dentist!

Been my dentist since junior school, I used to think they had only my best interests at heart but nowadays it's a terrible rush job. I had to have a filling redone on a back tooth because some decay had showed up on the x-ray, I paid 125 for this as its a white filling.. To be continued.. Job 1I also had to have a root canal done on another tooth as an abscess was developing under the tooth. I was advised by the dentist that it's very tricky and it's very time consuming for them. She said she had a 80% success rate. From the very start I could tell they where struggling after three 1 hour appointments it was finished but little did I know the infection was still there.. 325 job 2At this point I decided to visit another dentist as the abscess returned with a very serious infection in my jaw bone. He looked at the xrays (osgodby charged me 20 to them put on a disc) and said she had did a good job but hadn't completed it 100% as a canal had been missed in the original procedure. He also checked over my teeth and said I needed the back filling redone as the decay had been missed when it was refilled.In total 495 for nothing but a lot of pain. If anyone has had an abscess it's like no 2 on pain after giving birth, the receptionist has a serious attitude problem as when I was desperately trying to see a dentist with a life threatening infection she was more interested in telling me I'd be waiting two weeks to see someone than helping me. In the end I went to emergency dentist 25.If you value your oral health don't go here, it's just in it for quick turn arounds at your expense. The dentist I use now has shocked me so much I wouldn't ever go back to osgodby except to pay the 20 I owe them for a disc that I wasn't told would cost me 20.They should not do root canals full stop. I now pay a lot more for my dentistry but after what I've been through I'd pay double not to go back to osgodby.
I recently had a large amount of work done here, 2 extractions and 7 fillings over 3 visits and have nothing but praise for all the staff here who were extremely efficient, had an easy manner and fully as helpful as they could be. 2 dentists went to great lengths to ensure everything was completely pain free. I would recommend them to anyone!
Wouldn't advise going here more than one member of staff who rush and carry out below par work and to be honest before I went I was advised not to and kind of wish I'd listened. Was going to give 2* but really would be untrue
