Loved it. A beautiful piece of history hidden away in a large town. Well worth a visit
Always buy our Christmas tree here. Lovely setting... Very christmassy. National trust shop small but has some nice things.. Bought some mead and a Christmas candle.
Trader with skincare stall at Christmas Fair. Good day. Lovely setting and grounds. I was in the marquee and there were some issues with drips coming from the ceiling due to condensation and falling on my Temple Spa skincare products and gift boxes - so I kept having to explain to potential customers it wasn't due to product leaking! Apart from that a good day for making contacts mainly and I would go back again just would have appreciated a heads up that this might be an issue before the event and unloading gift boxes and products as I might have been able to come up with some kind of workaround. Thank you.
Took the children in the holidays to a sports day in the grounds. Really friendly staff, lots of choice of sports things for the children to play. The house is lovely and staff are welcoming to the children, happy to answer questions and let them look around. We will be going again as the children have asked to go back. (they are 4 and 6)
Interesting house with some nice grounds. A good long walk round the grounds. Excellent activity days for parents and kids. Another National Trust success, not quite as engaging as some houses but interesting nonetheless. There is not much roped off so you can really examine rooms and contents, and all volunteers are helpful and knowledgeable.
