Great place to take a seat amongst the variety of shops in the vicinity its lovely to take 5/10 mins to catch your breath and take a breather before heading to the bus station to go home.

Out door shopping but a nice place to visit. The ombience is improved with the street buskers whom are frequently there what's sad to see is the homeless begging which Middlesbrough is becoming more and more famed for due in no small part to the local government been currupt uncaring money grabbing scum, who would better serve their community by just giving back what they stole, maybe they could buy some houses and fund some support programs for the homeless you'll see in captain cook square,.. so yeah nice place to visit although a lot of stores have closed down now.

Wonderfully nice. Very windy when I went and it also was raining. Lots of bins to put rubbish in too... Which is always a bonus. There is lots of shops to choose from, it just depends what you like. There is 2 cash points too, which is always a bonus. The cash points are side by side, just so you know. Most of the year they have a mobile cafe in the middle of the square, which is nice, because you can sit down and have a relaxing coffee.... Which is always a bonus. The square itself is situated right outside the south entrance of the bus station, so if you are getting a bus to Middlesbrough and want to go to this place, it's on your door step as soon as you get off the bus... Which is always a bonus.Overall, it's a very nice place, just beware of the fake homeless and sales people who try to lure you with their glazed stares. Just put your head down and walk on past, they should just ignore you.....which is always a bonus.

Lovely shopping trip and spot of lunch with the family. Free parking was the draw. Different shops and amenities meant it was better than any teesside Park visit. We will definitely be coming back.

Always a tidy place to go shopping. Made better now that the con-man, who pretended to be homeless, has finally been dealt with in the courts. Bonus is, at the moment, 2 hours free parking in the multi-storey car park. Well worth having a visit for your quick shop.
