I rang up for an appointment and booked in for my first practice visit. I had to go and fill a form. I missed my appointment as I work in retail and was stuck with a customer, so I phoned in and told her I have an appointment like now but wont be able to make it. So she said thats fine I will re arrange it. The next appointment was a couple of weeks after unfortunately was running late by three minutes when I was at the practice there was a queue by the time I gave my name in to see I was present the lady at the receptionist said your too late. I said theres a five minute rule I said im within that time frame and shown her my phone but she went by the clock on the wall which was ahead quite a bit. The dentist which was the lady said If I hold on I can be seen but I will be seen after a while but the lady on reception said she has missed two appointments so that option isnt available as I only live around the corner from the dentist and I missed my appointments twice.I said to her living around the corner and being late to my appointment has nothing to do with it as I come from work and I work independant. Plus once I phoned in and told that I wont be able to make the appointment and the second time I was there. So what was i suppose to do jump the queue the lady with the pushchair and the gentleman in front of me. I am not very good with dentists and have been here with my friend the dentists are very good but I feel that in my situation the policy was uite unfair as I was better then people who miss appointments and dont notify the practice is better then actually notifying the practice that you will be late and told my situation. As in my case this is what happened. The second time I was present there which I felt outrageous. For the record I did not miss two appointments, and the receptionist should be a little considerate as she said look for another dentist you hve missed to appointments which I really dont understand how Ive missed.
I have used this practice for a number of years. All of the staff have always been very friendly and informative professionals. Not any people enjoy dental visits but they do put you at ease .
